WELCOME TO THE FOREST LAKE ASSOCIATION

The Winter of 2023/24 is the winter that never really was!  It may have arrived in October, 2023 but has been a bust since then.  I believe for the first-time ever, the snowmobile trails did not open in Vilas County.  While Eagle River's Snowmobile Derby was held, the 3 Bear Sled Dog Races in Land O'Lakes had to be cancelled along with the Radar Run fundraiser on Mamie Lake to support the Frosty Snowmobile Club.  However, the resourceful folks did have a Poker Run with many local businesses participating.  Bent's Camp had live music, the restaurant was open, family fun games on the frozen lake, and raffle prizes.  And the Town of Land O'Lakes did open up some of the ATV/UTV trails so folks could participate in the Poker Run.  Thank you to all the businesses who helped, especially Bent's Camp.

There is only about 3-4 inches of snow on the ground - good for a nice walk in the woods, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing.   While the temperatures may have been low enough to freeze the lakes for ice fisherfolks recently, be careful out there as the temperatures will be back in the upper 40's Tuesday, 2/20, Wednesday and Thursday and back to 50 degrees next Monday, 2/26.  Stay safe out there!

SAVE THE DATE!!  The Forest Lake Association annual meeting and picnic will be held Saturday, August 3rd.  Jeff and Barb Ladd have graciously agreed to host our annual soiree!  More information to follow via email and US Mail (for those without email addresses.)  Please plan on attending.  And, if you are interested in becoming a member of the FLA Board of Directors, please let a current board member know of your interest.

The Forest Lake Association Deed Restrictions were revised in 2015.  Please take a moment to review this document before you apply for any building permits from the town or county.
